Home Study Practitioner Contractor - Casual

Crossroads Family Services seeks organized and self-motivated Home Study Practitioners from Central Alberta to join our team

The Home Study Practitioner will be tasked with completing a Structured Analysis Family Evaluation (SAFE) in collaboration with Crossroads. The Home Study Report includes reviewing documentation, conducting interviews, compiling information, meeting for mitigation, and writing the report, which will be submitted within a specified timeframe.

Skills/Knowledge required:

- Superior organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and oral English language communication
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and interview skills
- Professional standard of ethics and ability to handle personal information with sensitivity.
- Experience with Child Intervention and familiarity with the complex issues of foster care.
- Knowledge in the areas of child development, Indigenous communities, trauma-informed practice, and grief and loss

Qualifications/Eligibility: Individuals with SAFE training certification and at least five (5) years of experience in a Human Service field. Experience in conducting interviews for the purpose of evaluation/assessment. Professional insurance with a $2,000,000 liability, including Errors and Omissions. Access to a vehicle and willingness to travel within the Central Alberta Children Services Region. Preference given to residents of Central Alberta. A current Intervention Record Check and Police Check (w/ Vulnerable Sector) are required.

Pay: $15.74-$51.55 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Edmonton, AB T6X 1E9
