**Job Overview**:
Jewish Family Services is looking for a part-time Home Support Health Care Aid Contractor. Shifts may be scheduled between 8 AM and 9 PM on weekdays or weekends.

This role requires having a safe and reliable vehicle due to the travelling requirements for this position.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Offer friendly, compassionate companionship to the client, engage in conversations, listen attentively, and maintain an uplifting attitude.
- Accompany the client outside their home, including going for walks, to a mall, and appointments.
- Maintain professional boundaries with the client.
- Provide required medical and health care assistance.
- Do a basic housekeeping if needed.
- Assist the client in preparing meals if needed.
- Transport the client as needed, if approved by the supervisor.

**Qualifications**:

- At least 2 years of experience in the field
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working with seniors
- Have, or the ability to obtain, a clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Compassion and patience when working with clients
- Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle. $2M PLPD
- Health Care Aid certificate
- Fluency in English

**Rate of Pay**:
$25.5/hour. Mileage will be paid if the client's transportation is required. As a Contractor, you are responsible for paying your government deductions, including income tax.

**Job Type**: Part-time temporary contract.

**Salary**:$25.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed
