Caron is currently recruiting this exciting position for our **_Head Office in Sherwood Park._**

The Operations Specialist reports directly to the Operations Process Manager. They are responsible for timely and accurate completion of operations department specific areas related to project management, data and document management, operational procedure development and implementation, software development and integration and operational training.
- 2+ years of related experience
- Thorough understanding of Excel with Power Query and Pivot Table experience
- Comfortable working with all levels of employees and enjoys being a “go-to” person
- Keeps track of details to ensure work is performed accurately and completely
- Effectively changes plans, goals, actions or priorities to deal with changing situations
- Applies critical thinking skills, recognizing the existence of a problem and brings it to the attention of the necessary parties
- Displays a familiarity with industry specific equipment and operations

**The role**:

- Create operational manuals and procedural documentation as needed
- Develop procedures including and deliver training for all terminals
- Maintain driver training manuals in addition to department resource manuals
- Maintain operational software as required (Axon, Samsara, LMS)
- Provide ongoing support to company Terminal Managers to ensure operational goals & objectives are maintained
- Manage all operational software including Samsara, Trailer Tracks, Axon, LMS and Synerion
- Manage IVG equipment including, supplies, maintenance, inventory, training, and audits
- Assist in Samsara/Axon integration
- Assist in EDI Integration and Training
- Facilitate training on all operational software systems
- Develop & Maintain Data Bases
- Provide reports and statistical information as requested using Excel Power Query, Pivot tables and other software
- Data & Document control support for the department
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor/management

**Qualifications**:

- Administrative Diploma or Certificate
- 2+ years office experience
- Advanced computer skills
- Transportation industry experience is an asset
