Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Administrator will be responsible for accurate and timely administration of employee payroll. Maintaining up-to-date records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Entry of payroll changes including new hires, terminations, salary changes, position assignments, employee transfers, ROE information and other employee related updates into payroll system (currently ADPWFN)
- Collect, verify, input payroll information for 18 (and growing) payroll companies
- Respond to Service Canada inquiries relative to ROE’s
- Calculate vacation and stat holiday pay for hourly employees and enter into system
- Provide new hires with information to access to the payroll portal
- Communication with managers and employees relative to payroll inquiries
- Provide ongoing maintenance of Employee files
- Manage employee vacation and sick time trackers
- Assist with year-end adjustments and processing of T4’s and T4A’s
- Ensure payroll related legislative requirements are met
- Prepare and reconcile payroll journal entries for General Ledger posting

**Qualifications**:

- Education completed or enrolled - Payroll Compliance Practitioner
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Payroll
- Knowledge or experience with ADP/Workforce Now (asset)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet established deadlines; plan and organize workload; multi-task and prioritize
- Detailed knowledge of payroll/records administrative policies, methods, and procedures required for payroll system(s) and other computerized systems.
