**Your days will includ**
- Entering feed formulation data, feed delivery records, and animal performance metrics into company databases or spreadsheets.
- Monitoring and assisting with the feed ingredient quality control program.
- Collaborating with feed mill personnel to ensure formulation accuracy and ingredient inventory compliance.
- Assisting with the in-house NIR analysis, trial protocols and report writing.
- Assisting with maintaining accurate records for feed trials, feed intake, and health events.
- Updating standard operating procedures and program templates as needed.
- Supporting on-farm trials and data collection (e.g., weighing pigs, recording feed consumption, sampling).
- Assisting with daily barn activities such as feed checks, condition scoring, or troubleshooting feeding systems while being aware of biosecurity and protocols.
- Working closely with nutritionists, barn managers, and production staff to gather and verify information.
- Helping coordinate trial logistics, such as organizing feed deliveries or tagging animals.

**To succeed in this role, you must possess**:

- Experience working in livestock (swine or poultry preferred).
- Experience in nutrition, feed formulation or feed production.
- Strong computer skills (proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs, including Excel, Word and SharePoint.
- Familiarity with feed formulation software is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills with attention to detail, ability to follow protocols, strong organizational and time management skills.
- Comfortable working in barns, feed mills, and office settings.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to multiple sites as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in animal science, Agriculture, or related field. (Diploma with relevant experience may be considered.)
