**About the role**:
We are looking for an Accounting Manager who will maintain an efficient accounting system. These responsibilities will include leading a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, mentorship and support and overseeing business projects.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Lead and support a team of accounting professionals and provide guidelines.
- Discuss and assist in month/ quarter end close responsibilities, revenue and cost allocations.
- Prepare, review and validate financial statements.
- Prepare year-end working papers and assist with auditors for annual audit.
- Assist in the development and financial planning of external funding submissions, start-up capital and business loans.
- Prepare multi-year financial forecast and budgets for funded projects and revise as necessary for senior management.
- Manage simultaneously multiple accounting projects ensuring timely completion.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for key service providers and customers, building and maintaining strong relationships.

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CMA/CGA designation preferred.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in accounting, with a focus on financial management and reporting in high-growth companies.
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in visual presentation with a strong background in display.
- Comfortable with working across time zones and with team members residing in various geographic locations.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience with Sage ACCPAC/ Sage 300 and QuickBooks accounting is a must.
- Excellent MS Excel skills.
- French language will be an added advantage.
