**Position Overview**:
The HR Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Human Resources, Safety and Administrative functions of the organization. This position ensures smooth HR operations, fosters a positive work environment, and provides comprehensive support to employees, leadership, and external stakeholders. The HR Coordinator manages health and safety initiatives, talent acquisition processes, employee engagement activities, and administrative tasks.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Talent Acquisition & Onboarding**
- Create and post job postings for open positions.
- Screen resumes for junior-level roles and coordinate the interview process.
- Oversee onboarding for new hires, ensuring timely completion of paperwork, orientations, and system setups.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new employees during the onboarding process.
**Offboarding**
- Execute offboarding procedures, including checklists, removing system access, and updating employee records in BambooHR.
**Employee Engagement & Culture**
- Plan and organize employee engagement events such as team huddles, professional development sessions, town halls, and other social activities.
- Facilitate employee surveys using BambooHR and gather actionable insights to improve workplace culture.
**Employee Communication & Relations**
- Draft and distribute employee communications regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and events.
- Act as a trusted point of contact for employee inquiries about HR processes and policies.
**Compensation & Benefits**
- Prepare letters of employment and manage the onboarding/offboarding process for employee benefits programs.
- Promote and communicate benefits to employees. Act as a point of contact for benefit related questions.
**HR Operations**
- Process payroll changes and coordinate with payroll administrators to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Maintain and update employee records in BambooHR, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
- Manage content updates in Employee Central, ensuring relevance and accessibility.
**Health & Safety Coordination**
- Organize and manage safety initiatives, including booking safety training sessions, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining up-to-date safety equipment and resources.
- Coordinate and schedule safety meetings to enhance workplace safety awareness and compliance.
**Office Administration & IT Management**
- Purchase and manage office and kitchen supplies, snacks, and IT equipment such as computers, peripherals, and accessories.
- Oversee office cleanliness by coordinating with cleaning services.
- Manage Office 365, including adding/removing users and maintaining employee distribution lists.
**Qualifications & Skills**:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in an HR or administrative role preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR), Microsoft Office Suite, and IT tools.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of employment law, health and safety regulations, and HR best practices.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
