**Corporate Purchaser**

Corporate Purchasers are responsible for managing supplier relationships to ensure the timely delivery of quality goods while maintaining compliance with contract terms. This role oversees the purchase order process from initiation to completion while supporting various business units within Spark Power. Collaboration with multiple departments and strategic vendors is essential to optimize supply chain operations and achieve company objectives

**What will you do as the Corporate Purchaser**
- Maintain and enhance relationships with key suppliers to ensure high-quality goods, timely deliveries, and adherence to contract terms.
- Work with strategic vendors to explore alternative solutions that improve lead times and support desired margins.
- Consolidate purchases through SOCs when possible and provide feedback to enhance vendor support.
- Attend vendor meetings and events as required.
- Oversee the entire purchase order process following established purchasing procedures and system protocols to support accurate accounting practices.
- Provide weekly ETA updates on open POs to Project Managers.
- Collaborate with Accounting to manage GRNI and IRNB reporting.
- Support and maintain systems, procedures, and policies for inventory control, including cycle counting, physical inventory counts, stock transfers, and the overall flow of goods.
- Maintain clean and organized physical and systematic bin locations (ie: location 0.0.0 should always be clean)
- Support multiple business units, including Tech Services, Renewables, Engineering, and Corporate.
- Manage a shared inbox, ensuring timely responses (within 15min) and adherence to team service standards.
- Assist Project Managers with BOM creation and product quotations
- Work with estimating teams to ensure best pricing, strategic vendor use, and required support for job wins.
- Partner with operations to meet gross margin goals on work orders.
- Adapt to multiple operating systems.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities during scheduled weekly learning sessions.
- Proactively schedule vendor on-site training across various locations to enhance your growth and expertise.
- Engage in job shadowing opportunities to gain hands-on experience and deepen your understanding of key roles and requirements
- Perform additional duties as assigned

- Skilled in managing conflicts and generating resolutions that satisfy all parties.
- Proficient in balancing workloads, managing time constraints, and delegating responsibilities when necessary.
- Keen observational skills to identify deviations and adjust operations accordingly
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
- Extensive experience in purchasing, customer service, and/or counter sales within the electrical industry. Data entry experience: proficiency in Microsoft BI is an asset.
- Education - Post-secondary degree or similar.
