Maple Leaf Quilting Company is seeking a full-time team member to join our growing business. We are currently hiring for a role that includes customer service, clerical work, and shipping/receiving

Maple Leaf Quilting Company is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Over the past decade, we have grown from a one-person operation to a storefront with seven exceptional team members. We are excited to add another permanent, full-time member to our team.

**What you’ll actually be doing**:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Greeting customers
- Operating cash register
- Increasing in store sales / cross-selling products
- Answering phones and responding to customer inquiries
- Fulfilling and shipping online sales orders with accuracy
- Product knowledge, including sewing machines and other merchandise
- Time management
- Maintaining sales floor appearance
- Directing customers to merchandise
- Receiving stock and maintaining accurate inventory records
- Handling daily shipping and receiving tasks.

**Key Competencies Needed**:

- Sewing, quilting, or embroidery, whether as a hobby or professionally.
- Shipping/receiving using online platforms such as ShipStation, Shopify, or similar tools.
- Providing customer service in a retail environment.
- **Creating digital content (video or photos) using mobile apps like Canva, Photoshop, or similar programs.**:

- You love talking to people on the phone and face to face
- You are a people person; friendly and passionate about human interactions
- You have a can-do attitude, self discipline and tons of motivation
- You are flexible, efficient and love learning new things
- You love taking responsibility for tasks and completing them while exceeding expectations
- You are able to be on your feet for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Sewing or quilting experience is preferred; **however not a requirement**

Salary will be competitive with the retail sales market in Alberta and determined based on your experience.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week

**Experience**:

- Sewing: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer Service: 2 years (preferred)
- Shipping & receiving: 1 year (preferred)
- Social media management: 1 year (preferred)
