**Environmental Summer Student**

**Key Information**:

- ** Currently be enrolled in an environmental science or a related discipline and entering your final year of your undergraduate degree is required.**:

- ** Conduct environmental site inspections and assign corrective actions when necessary.**:

- ** Hours: Based on a 40-hour work week (8 hours a day, Monday - Friday) with the option for overtime as required.**:

- ** Hourly rate is dependent on experience.**:

- ** Health benefits and vacation pay offered.**
- ** Conduct environmental site inspections and assign corrective actions when necessary.**:

- ** Aiding in the development of documentation such as Environmental Management **Plans and project ECO Plans.**:

- Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of the Environmental Management System.
- Supporting implementation, compliance, and auditing of project spill prevention and waste management processes.
- Responding to and reporting environmental Incidents Office / Field com bination with potential overnight travel (Project work across BC through Manitoba).
- Supporting project team members.
- Completing client prequalification documents.

**Experience and Certification Requirements**:

- ** A valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract is required and must be obtained no more than 30 days prior to employment start date.**:

- ** Must possess (Or be willing to obtain prior to job start) current WHMIS 2015 and CSTS.**:

- ** Currently be enrolled in an environmental science or a related discipline and entering your final year of your undergraduate degree is required.**:

- Experience working within the construction field is considered an asset.
- Extremely proficient administrative skills and a highly professional demeanor required.
- Attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Proficient and competent in the operation of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to a very dynamic job.

**Education**: Enrolled in Environmental Science or related discipline.
