ABLE Engineering Services Inc. "ABLE" is a versatile, experienced, multi-disciplinary engineering firm that works on a wide range of projects. We excel in civil and structural engineering, surveying and the design of infrastructure systems for commercial, residential, governmental and industrial projects. We are seeking a Survey Technicians/Chain Saw Operators to join or team **RESPONSIBILITIES** - Travel to and from job sites throughout Nova Scotia - Participate in field surveys and operate survey instruments and devices; - Brush cutting using chainsaw or brushsaw. - Keep records, measurements and other survey information in systematic order; - Any and all responsibilities assigned by the department head. **QUALIFICATIONS** - Strong and proven spatial recognition skills - Able to successfully and consistently operate all field survey equipment - Able to lift and carry +/- 30lbs - Formal survey technician training from an accredited institution considered an asset - Chainsaw L1 (challenge or complete L3 optional) considered an asset - Strong listening and communication skills - Appreciates outdoor work - Must be available and able to travel frequently throughout the South Shore, Halifax Regional Municipality and the Annapolis Valley. - Valid Nova Scotia drivers license - Uses and applies good field judgement for accuracy, and adequacy of field work - Occupation Health & Safety, WHMIS and First Aid training considered an asset. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Company pension - Dental care - Disability insurance - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Paid time off - RRSP match - Vision care Schedule: - Monday to Friday Work Location: One location
