I'm a 24-year-old man living in Vancity. I am a free-spirit cripple. I am always open to new stuff. But it always depends on you and your comfort zones.

I'm looking for someone like me. I mostly listen to r&b alternative music. I have both hippie and poetic energies. I am the quiet type. Best to view me as an alley cat, doing life on my own.

You'll be my a personal support worker to help me out with my daily routine. I live alone in a two-bedroom apartment near one of the sky train stations in East Van.

I have Cerebral Palsy. I can't verbally speak. I can’t use any of my limbs. I rely on my power wheelchair to get around. I am profoundly hard of hearing.

In simple words, best to view me as like an non-speaking quad.

You'll need to have experience with personal care, transfer using sling/lift, G tube feeding, food preparation for G tube feeding, and light housekeeping. You must also be able to communicate with a non-verbal person and drive a wheelchair-enabled personal van.

I need you to work 24-hour shifts.. The shift starts at 10 pm and ends at 10 pm the following day. Right now I am looking for someone for:
**Friday-Monday**

I am into a social sciences program in the fall. I love to help others. I have other big goals for my life.

I need you help with my morning and bedtime routine, meal preparation, and monitoring my tube feeding pumps throughout the day. You'll also need to assist me with physical therapy and personal care, such as showering and hygiene. Occasionally, you'll accompany me to appointments and run errands. It's important to note that the shifts can be intense, but there will be some downtime in the afternoons.

During the training process, you'll shadow another worker for a few times, then start doing tasks on your own with their guidance until you're confident.

The job is regulated under the provincial employment law

The pay is $200/24 hour training rate and $250/24 hour rate once trained. The job is permanent, and you'll work full or part-time. So, if you're patient, detail-oriented, and a homie, send your resume to me.
