**Job Summary**:In this role, you will be reporting to the Executive Director, Finance & Corporate Services, the manager, Payroll Services is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Payroll Functions within BCIB. The Manager, Payroll Services collaborates with internal and external stakeholders including contractors and sub-contractors to ensure employees’ pay and benefits are processed timely, accurately and in compliance with the CBA.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Manage payroll workload and supervise activities of payroll staff.
- Ensure timesheets are processed accurately, timely and in compliance with the CBA.
- Ensure accuracy of payroll reports generated by the Payroll System (PeopleSoft).
- Collaborate with Contractors/Sub-Contractors to ensure compliance with the CBA related to employees’ pay and benefits.
- Oversee payroll reconciliation process.
- Review policies and procedures and make recommendations as required.
- Ensure BCIB compiles with all statutory requirements related to payroll.
- Support all internal and external audits related to payroll.
- Collaborate with the external Payroll Service Provider to ensure the payroll system can accommodate operational needs of CBA projects.
- Improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Payroll Team.
- Performance manager and develop payroll staff. system permissions.

**Qualifications, Skills & Years of Experience**:

- Professional Accounting Designation (CA, CGA, CMA, CPA)
- Certified Payroll Professional Designation preferred.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of payroll calculation and processing
- Managerial Experience (3 years or more)
- Proficiency in relevant payroll software.

- This role has 7 direct reports.
- This role has day to day supervision of Payroll Team Lead and Payroll Agents.

**Work Schedule**:
**Full time** 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday

**Hybrid** - This position offers the flexibility of working both on-site and remotely within BC.
