Rescue Technician

**Overview**
Medcor's Rescue Technicians will be responsible for performing high angle rescue operations and ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals in hazardous situations. This role requires proficiency in advanced rescue techniques, excellent physical fitness and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Medcor's technician will work closely with our clinical staff to provide emergency response services to the site.
**Duties**
- Perform high-angle rescue operations in compliance with established protocols and safety standards.
- Utilize specialized equipment and techniques to safely extricate individuals from elevated or confined spaces.
- Conduct thorough assessments of rescue scenes to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate safety measures.
- Ensure all rescue operations are conducted with the highest regard for safety.
- Provide immediate first aid and medical support to individuals during rescue operations.
- Collaborate with emergency medical staff to ensure seamless patient care and handover
- Participate in regular training sessions and emergency drills to maintain proficiency in rescue techniques and equipment usage.
**Requirements**:
- High Angle Rope Rescue Certification (NFPA, IRATA, SPRAT)
- Confined space rescue training an asset
- Fall protection experience an asset
- Class 5 Driver's License with ability to provide abstract
- MFR/EMR/PCP certification/licensure required
