Medic for Athletic Events

Toronto, Canada Panno Medical Full time

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide **first response medical care** during live events, sports activities, and festivals.
- Conduct **injury assessments** and implement **concussion protocols** as needed.
- Support athletes and participants with **preventative care and recovery techniques**.
- Collaborate with event organizers to ensure **health and safety compliance**.
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents and medical interventions.
- Assist with pre-event taping and physical preparation of athletes.

**Required Qualifications**:

- PCP, ACP, AEMCA (Certified or Pending)
- EMR/BLS, FR or Standard First Aid/CPR/AED (Certified)
- Certified or Student Athletic Therapist (CAT(C) or enrolled in accredited program)
- Kinesiologist with: (Athletic Therapy background, or Hands-on sports experience (e.g., team support, field coverage)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments

**Preferred Experience**:

- Previous experience in emergency first response, sports medicine, athletic therapy, or event medical coverage an asset
- Familiarity with concussion protocols and injury management
- Experience working at festivals or large public gatherings

**Locations Covered**:

- Greater Toronto Area (GTA)
- Hamilton
- Pickering
- Sudbury
- Thunder Bay
- Additional Ontario regions as needed

- Dealing with sports pre-taping and injuries: 2 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Class G Licence (required)
- EMR/BLS, FR or Standard First Aid/CPR/AED (required)
- Paramedic certificate (preferred)
- Certified Athletic Therapist (preferred)
- Certified Kinesiologist (preferred)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
