Founded in 2015, Unified Engineering Ltd. has evolved from engineering and design into a supplier for structural and miscellaneous steel projects. Throughout our history, we have worked diligently with our growing client base and established ourselves as a versatile supplier of steel construction services.

We rely on the demand for engineered construction services and focus primarily on steel construction. With this in mind, we align our workforce and collective skills to provide our clients with reliable and quality construction. This day-to-day enterprise is attained and underpinned by competent personnel and quality management.

We have an immediate opening for a **SHOP COORDINATOR**.

Job Duties include but not limited to:

- Review shop fabrication drawings for accuracy and completeness of details.
- Control and organize project documentation and revision levels.
- Organize and distribute blueprints
- Creating buy out lists and plate transmittals
- Assist project manager in compiling data to support budget forecasts, schedules, proposals, and change orders.
- Issue purchase orders and expedite materials with vendors and sub-contractors.
- Issue RFI’s and Change Orders to clients and track responses.
- Obtain and compile close out documentation and Manufacturer’s Record Book.
- Compile and review vendor quotations.
- Assist in resolving design and documentation issues that arise.
- Take and distribute project related meeting minutes as required.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in a steel fabrication, construction or manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Familiar with reading shop drawings and technical documentation.
- Working experience in project management.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, Adobe, and network systems.
- Excellent data entry, written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attendance, punctuality, and dependability.
- Ability to be resourceful and solve issues that may arise.
- Exhibits a professional image.
- Engineering technologist, EIT, or higher credentials will be considered an asset.

**Salary**: From $60,000.00 per year
