The Maintenance Attendant (L2) will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the equipment in the kitchen, laundry, and mechanical rooms for the Fantasyland Hotel.
**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Performing preventive maintenance on all equipment necessary to operate and maintain the hotel and its guests in a safe and comfortable condition.
- Repairing the following: Kitchen appliances and equipment, restaurant or bar appliances and equipment, laundry appliances and equipment, HVAC equipment including its controls and auxiliary equipment, domestic hot and cold water, hot water heating and chilled water pumps, MUA, exhaust fans, heat register, and vertical type fan coil units including control and auxiliary.
- Knowledge on the hotel’s emergency power and standby equipment including its controls and auxiliary equipment.
- Checking and repairing electrical equipment and accessories to ensure proper working order in guest rooms and other public areas.
- Repairing and maintaining the heating and air conditioning system in guest rooms.
- Performing preventive maintenance and repairs on ice machines in all guest floors including kitchen and public areas.
- Utilize iPads to access and track the assigned maintenance program.
- Maintaining inventory of spare parts for all equipment needed to do the repairs. To provide required information on replacement or spare parts that is necessary to complete the repairs.
- Other duties as required

**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Previous experience working in a high volume, up-scale hotel in an operation and maintenance-based position.
- Proven knowledge, skills and abilities and proven capability to take charge in challenging situations.
- A high level of professionalism in the workplace.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must be able to multi-task, troubleshoot and able to work under pressure.
- Completion of post-secondary education in the field of industries through a recognized school such as NAIT or equivalent is a definite asset.

**TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT**:

- This is a full-time position that is required to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, night shifts, weekends and holidays.
- This position has a wage of $23.00/hour
- Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
