Your Opportunity: Working in close collaboration with the Labour & Delivery interdisciplinary team, the Service Worker is responsible for the efficient cleaning and turnover of Labour & Delivery rooms, Assessment/Induction stretchers, and Obstetrical Operating Room theatres with the expectation to provide support to Women's OR when required. Primary responsibilities comprise of cleaning patient rooms/bays/operating theatre (includes blood and bodily fluids), set up of patient rooms and operating theaters, restocking of supplies and linens and curtain changes as required. The incumbent must demonstrate a professional attitude while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and consider the Essential Habits as set forth by the Royal Alex Way in daily interactions with colleagues, patients, and visitors. Description: As a Service Worker I, you will be responsible for transporting patients (clients/residents) and equipment to and from different patient care areas within a hospital site. You will distribute and replenish hospital supplies throughout the units and clean equipment and patient care areas as directed. You may also transport lab specimens, blood and blood products, and patient charts.
