Your Opportunity:
As a Service Worker I, you will be responsible for safe handling and transporting following all related standard operating procedures of contaminated equipment from various clinics, nursing units and operating rooms (OR), throughout the University of Alberta Hospital Campus to the Medical Device Reprocessing Area (MDRA). In addition, you will then be required to safely distribute the clean and sterile supplies back all the areas. The incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day stocking and return of all MDRA supplies that are received from the warehouse and returned from the OR. Description:
As a Service Worker I, you will be responsible for transporting patients (clients/residents) and equipment to and from different patient care areas within a hospital site. You will distribute and replenish hospital supplies throughout the units and clean equipment and patient care areas as directed. You may also transport lab specimens, blood and blood products, and patient charts. You will report any concerns regarding supplies and safety issues to Unit Managers and perform other duties as required.
