Research & Innovation Inventory Coordinator

**What are we looking for**:
The R&I Inventory Coordinator is responsible to coordinate the sourcing, supply and control of all raw materials, pigments & extenders components, molds, tooling and other resources associated with, and in support to the R&I department.

**What will you be doing**:
**Inventory Management**
- Coordinate the accurate and efficient supply of raw material (RM) samples and supporting documents from suppliers
- Ensure accuracy of data entry, timely update and management of all appropriate data for items including but not limited to the use of SmartSheet, VISUAL, Coptis, RM Sample Database and all other supporting data sources
- Support the efficiency of the R&I schedule by ensuring proper RM inventory management, components, tooling and molds
- Active participation in the design and continuous improvement of all processes and procedures which support the flow of R&I Inventories that include raw materials, pigments& extenders, molds and tooling
- Physically discard expired RM from inventory

**Internal/External Raw Material Ordering**
- Organize the supply of RM, components, and extenders and other resources from the Warehouse stock for R&I Laboratory.
- Ensure all RM documentation, including but not limited to SDS, C of A, Technical Data Sheet (TDS), DSL listing, RM Regulatory status, etc. is available and up to date to support the use of the RM inventory
- Support R&I, Product Development (PD) and Purchasing in developing partnership with key suppliers, and assist the integration of these suppliers into the Cosmetica supply chain to achieve goals of innovation, service, quality, and cost minimization
- Support the Purchasing and Planning functions by procuring raw material sample
- For samples, coordinate the efficient inbound freight requirements to minimize turnaround time for receipt

**Supporting Function**
- Support Quality Assurance (QA) and R&I in the initiation and renewal of RM standards
- Support and participate in all necessary training development initiatives
- Proactively work with all other Cosmetica functions to develop a continuous improvement culture within the organization
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, GMP and 5S requirements
- Coordinate and execute special projects as directed by Manager, Research and Innovation, and / or Supervisor
- Any other duties to support the overall R&I laboratory operation
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Project Management, Science or related field and / or equivalent work experience in the manufacturing or service industry
- Minimum 2 to 4 years’ experience in raw material management and inventory control
- Excellent organization, prioritization and management skills with ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Keen attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot using good problem solving skills
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel), ERP (Visual, Coptis), Smartsheet including database management
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Self-motivated and flexible
- Must be a team player and can be highly motivated
- Training in WHMIS, GMP and 5S

**Extra Glitter**:

- Familiar with MRP systems and other inventory management tools (Visual, Coptis) would be an asset
