**Overview**:
The Front of House Assistant and Dishwasher is responsible for assisting in the lunchroom and working in the dishwashing area. The main responsibilities include serving clients and guests, ensuring a clean and orderly kitchen, and assisting with food serving.

**Team Dynamics**:
All departments work together to ensure guests have a positive experience. It is essential for all staff to collaborate and maintain positive working relationships.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Ensure all food service to guests is uniformly prompt, courteous, and cheerful.
- Maintain clean and organized food preparation, storage, serving, and dining areas.
- Wash, dry, and put away all dishes and kitchen utensils.
- Mop and sweep kitchen and dining area floors; take out garbage and replace garbage bags.
- Clear and clean tables during and after meal service.
- Organize food deliveries, including unloading food, and ensure all food is stored safely.
- Ensure the Front of House is well-stocked, presentable, and all food items are of good quality.
- Take requests from clients and guests for alternative meal items.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and report any deficiencies to the Kitchen Manager.
- Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- The Front of House Assistant is responsible for ensuring all deadlines are met, including ad-hoc deadlines as required.

**Education/Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in the hospitality industry is an asset.
- Possession of a valid Food Handlers Certificate is required.
- WHMIS certification is an asset.
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification is an asset.
- Ability to multitask efficiently.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to withstand long hours of standing, bending, and moving around.
- Working knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
- Ability to use common kitchen equipment and appliances safely.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.

**Sensory & Mental Attention**:
The position involves managing multiple requests and priorities simultaneously. Stress levels may increase during mealtimes due to the fast-paced nature of this role.

- Indoor, air-conditioned environment with incandescent and fluorescent lighting.
- Elevated noise levels during mealtimes.
- The dining room can become crowded during busy times due to an influx of guests.
