Gray Tools Canada is a Canadian Manufacturer and Distributor of Hand Tools and Accessories.

Gray Tools Canada, is currently hiring a Machine Set-Up Technician.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Follow company safety rules as per supervisor's instructions and employee handbook including wearing personal protective equipment 100% of the time, and ensure that all procedures under the Occupational Health and Safety Act are being followed.
- Set-up a variety of machinery for production operation; Rotary Press, Cut off press, Roll Stamp Presses, Hot Press, Swages, Abrasive cut off, Manual Mills, Paint Spray guns, May also be required to mix paint and other Chemicals from time to time.
- Check and make minor repairs and equipment adjustments throughout shift as necessary.
- Ensure non-used moulds and related tooling is stored accurately in the proper place, so they can be retrieved promptly/ for the next set-up machines by ensuring that the equipment is operating safely and is producing proper quality parts and meets correct cycle time.
- Inspect moulds and tooling at end and beginning of run to ensure there are no defects. If there are, report to department supervisor immediately.
- Ability to read production drawings produced in AutoCad
- Knowledge of measurement tools; verniers, calipers and other measurement devises.
- Listen to information, experiences and knowledge passed on by shift employees, to ensure effective, non-repetitive problem solving and machine repair.
- Promote and facilitate positive communication with and between all employees.
- Valid forklift license Counterbalance

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Excellent command of the English Language, strong written and oral communication skills with ability to interact with all shop floor employees on a daily basis.
- Sound trouble shooting and root cause analysis skills
- Trade School diploma or equivalent experience of 5+ years in a manufacturing environment with machine set-up experience preferred
- Millwright is preferred
- Basic computer literacy is required
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $27.52-$28.51 per hour
