Direct Support Workers support people with disabilities living in their home as well as to participate in their communities. Direct Support Workers provide support, such as helping with household tasks, filling out paperwork, administering medication and personal care. At times, Direct Support Workers also provide emotional support too. Support Workers are vital carers for vulnerable individuals and their families. Direct Support Worker not only assist clients but also to help them develop the skill sets and coping mechanisms to achieve a greater degree of independence and control over their lives.

Duties: Direct Support Workers will be required to assist with home management functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning. Plans meals, shopping for groceries, preparing and serving food/meals, feeding and clean-up. Accompanies clients to scheduled appointments and transports clients or running errands for clients.

Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

**Salary**: From $14.30 per hour
