Direct Support Professional have the primary responsibility of providing for the safety, physical and emotional well-being of the Hearthstone members in their care
- Accompany individuals at all times, unless that person has a stay alone plan
- Provide guidance and direction when outings/activities are to take place
- Employ Gentle teaching Methods in all interactions with the individuals
- Administer prescribed medications as ordered and maintain monthly medication administration records and procedures as laid out by the residential care licensing. To strictly adhere to protocols for medical administration and documentation.
- Respond to any medical needs and the arise, and notify the House Leader.
- Assist with personal care in the least intrusive and respectful manner, encourage the individuals to be suitable attired, clean and appropriately dressed for the weather and activity.
- Good communication skills, with individuals, co-workers, leadership.
- Must have computer skills, read and write incident reports following guidelines.
- Prepare healthy meals (according to Canadian Food Guide).
- Complete household duties, as assigned.
- Comply with Heath and safety programs, Confidentiality and respectful workplace policies along with all other HCG policy.
- Must have Adult and Child abuse Record, as well as Criminal Record check.
- Must have valid driver license and registration

**Salary**: From $17.75 per hour
