**Position Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support the development and implementation of medium-term security deliverables in alignment with the client’s strategic and operational plans.
- Review and advise on physical security measures, standards, and enhancements (e.g., CPTED, access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, and key control systems).
- Conduct and document security assessments, audits, and gap analyses, and work collaboratively with internal teams to recommend corrective actions and monitor implementation.
- Participate in security planning and design for capital and operational projects.
- Assist in developing and maintaining templates, tools, and documentation including risk assessments, site security plans, and action plans.
- Coordinate and support incident investigations, liaising with law enforcement where necessary and gathering information from surveillance, access logs, or other systems.
- Review and support internal compliance with applicable legislation, security standards, and corporate policies.
- Liaise with internal departments (HSE, Legal, HR) as needed on matters relating to investigations or security risk.
- Supervise and verify work performed by external vendors and contractors related to physical security installations.
- Participate in on-call rotation coverage for security-related incidents after-hours (limited and scheduled).
- Provide high-quality written reports, summaries, and presentations to internal stakeholders.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Diploma or degree in security management, criminology, law enforcement, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 to 7 years experience in corporate security or physical security roles.
- Strong working knowledge of physical security technologies and practices (access control, surveillance, alarms, key management).
- Prior experience conducting risk or security assessments in critical infrastructure, utility, energy, or government settings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience preparing formal security reports or briefings.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and the ability to commute within Edmonton.

**Assets**
- ASIS designation(s): CPP, PSP, or PCI
- CPTED Certification (Basic and Advanced)
- Project management or oversight of physical security installations
- Experience supporting or working within large enterprise security programs
- Understanding of the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA)
- Familiarity with incident management tools and investigative documentation standards
- Prior experience with critical infrastructure environments

**Additional Information**
- **Location**: Central Edmonton (Downtown)
- **Schedule**: Monday to Friday, one remote day/week
- **Term**: 9-month contract (with option for extension)
- **Job Type**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $34.00-$47.00 per hour
