**About the Role**:
Reporting to the General Manager (Region), the Manager Exploration (Country) is accountable for management of greenfield project exploration activity in the jurisdiction in accordance with approved Exploration and Operations plans.
The function is accountable for providing input and identification in designing, planning, evaluating and executing exploration programs to safely, simply and effectively test for giant resource potential, from target definition stage through to handover or divestment, as defined by the General Manager (Region) or VP Exploration.

Main Functions:

- Provide overall management in the execution of the exploration activities, ensuring exploration programs are well designed, adequately resourced and efficiently executed.
- Ensure that all exploration and operational plans operate according to the established budgets and deadlines established on a yearly basis.
- Aligns the technical and operational aspects of project evaluation stages to allow on-time and budget performance with increased efficiency to arrive at a high quality project pipeline that is in continuous improvement and evaluation.
- Oversee and monitor project design, planning, scheduling and execution relative to the direction and delivery of the overall work program. Ensure the exploration team conducts geological, geophysical and engineering tasks of the highest standards with established QA/QC controls and best practices.
- Maintains current knowledge on third party exploration results, country exploration activity and trends.
- Supporting Regional Generative activities and associated operational components and ensuring field work is effectively planned, executed and progressed to build and maintain a portfolio of drill-ready exploration targets.
- Provide input and advice on identification, evaluation, prioritisation and selection of discovery opportunities for pursuit within area of accountability.

**About You**:

- Relevant experience in managing complex projects and/or risk and business analysis.
- Experience in working in diverse geographical areas / cultures is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of greenfield discovery exploration value drivers and strategies for commodities and geographies relevant to approved Focus Areas.
- Sound exploration judgement, balancing technical, commercial, operational and risk elements using incomplete and/or ambiguous information.
- Degree in Geosciences
- Experience in working in diverse geographical areas / cultures is highly desirable.
- Bilingual in English and French is desirable.
- Management of multidisciplinary teams.
