KE is looking to hire an experienced Health and Safety Associate to join their growing team.
**Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Operate and maintain a H&S program complete with all associated functions, documentation, committees, and one which is compliant with all respective legislation
- Develop, monitor, and continually improve H&S program and respective policies
- Ensure processes, procedures, and workflows needed for program management are in place and maintained
- Perform site inspections and compliance audits including those involving subcontractors - Perform job risk assessments
- Review completed site safety forms on an as needed basis - Promote safe work practices and company safety culture
- Support and advise onsite personnel with regards to safe work practices
- Conduct accident/incident investigations and ensure required forms are filled out in a timely manner
- Manage early and safe return to work program
- Report on an as needed basis to senior management (minimum monthly) on the H&S program and areas of improvement / concern
- Participate in H&S committee meetings
- Identify and recommend training needs
- Develop and Conduct inhouse training including new hire orientation
- Conduct annual COR audit and maintain COR certification
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- A Canadian registered Safety Professional designation is preferred
- Completion of COR audit course with experience in conducting COR audits considered an asset
- Experience working in a H&S digital environment considered an asset
- Strong writing skills
