Vista Radio is looking for a Traffic Manager in Duncan, BC, in the Cowichan Valley. The Cowichan Valley has countless hiking trails and natural wonders, and is about an hour from world-class skiing on Mount Washington. The ocean is a few minutes away, and the province’s Capital city is about an hour south.

The City of Duncan has a population of just under 5,000, but it serves the Cowichan Valley which has a population of approximately 84,000, many of whom live in North Cowichan and Cowichan Tribes. Cowichan Tribes is the largest single First Nation Band in British Columbia.

**About the Job**:
The purpose of a radio traffic employee is to accurately schedule airtime and station promotions. You will facilitate the internal workflow, as well as manage the technical process to allow the coordination and release of media materials to the correct radio stations for assigned clients.

This position requires strong organizational, problem-solving and time management skills, who is genuinely interested in the radio industry.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate daily traffic logs for multiple stations
- Oversee and prepare any related functions to the preparation of traffic logs
- Work daily with Sales, Programming and Creative departments
- Data entry for National & Local Sales orders
- All other duties as assigned

**Position Requirements**:

- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Demonstrated resourcefulness and judgement
- A positive, friendly manner
- Knowledge of the radio industry will be considered an asset
- Basic understanding of radio programming and advertising content will be considered an asset
