Events Assistant

**Purpose**:
Under the direction of the Associate Director, Alumni Events, the Events Assistant supports the mission of the Division of Advancement by providing administrative and event support for the Alumni Engagement Events team including assisting with the execution of all event tasks, data entry and customer service.
**Education**:
High School Diploma with some post-secondary courses related to Business Administration, Marketing, Event Coordination, Project Management or related field.
**Experience**:
One year experience providing administrative services and event support, including experience in virtual meetings and events. Working knowledge of CRM databases, Zoom and MS Teams software. Experience working in an academic environment is an asset.
**Skills**:
- Effective customer service skills including the ability to clearly and accurately communicate verbally and in writing to respond to inquires. Strong attention to detail to accurately verify content. Strong organizational skills to handle high volume and meet deadlines. -Exercises tact, courtesy and discretion. deals courteously and effectively with people.Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment. Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Ability to work with CRM databases.
**Additional Notes**:
Occasional shifts may include working evenings & weekends based on events schedule.
