Financial Controller

We are seeking Financial Controllers to support our growth

Job Responsibilities:
Accounting:

- Hands on responsibility for full accounting cycle including month end close activities, preparing regular financial packages (monthly, quarterly, annually).
- Ensure production of timely, accurate and compliant financial reports.
- Ensure the integrity and reliability of all accounting functions, including receipts; disbursements; purchasing; payroll; invoicing; bank reconciliation; grants management and reporting; cash flow management; and audit preparation.
- Provide timely, accurate and reliable information on the financial performance of the business delivery to internal and external stakeholders while verifying reporting requirements are consistently met.
- Hands on responsibility for day to day accounting/finance processes as required.
- Proactive research and identification of accounting issues, taking corrective actions
- Oversee the annual financial audit and manage the relationship with the external audit team as required.

Financial Planning/Analysis and Finance Operations:

- Responsible for annual budgeting and planning process; review and administer all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes; keep leadership team abreast of the organization's financial status.
- Review financial systems and processes; identify opportunities for improvement; and implement enhancements.
- Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation, controls and effectiveness of the corporation.
- Participate in the development of the Company’s strategic plans as needed.

Education and

**Required Skills**:

- CPA/CA/CMA Designation
- 7-10 years of proven controllership and/or operational finance experience.
- Track record of excellence, experience and entrepreneurial drive.
- Desire to work directly with business owners and founders.
- Ability to identify and assess financial issues and prepare effective client focused solutions.
- Expert technical knowledge of financial statements and financial modeling and reporting techniques..
- Strong business acumen with an ability to make sound business decisions leveraging data analysis..
- Strong knowledge of financial systems used for planning and forecasting of business revenues and expenses.
- Collaborative leadership style with proven ability to effectively communicate with functional leaders across the business, as well as the Board, to guide and evaluate financial decisions.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail and with high standards for work quality.
- Self-motivated with good work ethic and willingness to learn and be hands on.
- Proficient at financial modeling in Excel and other tools as appropriate.
- Strong communication skills (written and oral) with, demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels in a business.
