- ** Plant Controller.**
**Role Purpose**:
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Monthly forecasting and actual performance management and reporting. This includes timely and accurate reporting against budget and forecast in addition to driving efforts to understand root causes of variances and establish recovery actions when necessary.
- Provide Finance leadership for annual physical inventory count when required.
- Collaborate with Operations team to ensure robust controls are in place to reduce / minimize excess inventory.
- Conducting an in-depth examination of data, critical figures, and processes, which encompass manufacturing procedures, inventory management, and inventory valuations.
- Review of all plant related accounting reporting and information systems and identification of projects, which would improve support of the plants.
- Maintains the cost system and audits cost accuracy/performs annual revision.
- Full ownership of Balance Sheet and P&L, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations, timely and accurate submission, as well as evidence of appropriate level of review / approval.
- Ensure compliance with Company approval authorization matrix across a wide variety of business activities.
- Assisting with product costing, cost centre accounting, and ensuring accurate expense categorization in accordance with company standards.
- Keeping a close watch on expenditures in key areas such as maintenance, supplies, and consumables, while actively supporting company efforts to minimize costs.
- Supervise the calculation of standard pricing and conduct thorough analysis of variances between actual costs and the standard price.
- Validate inventory cycle counts at year-end, ensuring consistency between inter-month counts and period-end physical counts.
- Provide comprehensive financial information, analysis, and support to key stakeholders (Plant Manager, Plant management team, Senior Controller).
- Coordinate the preparation and review of plant budgets/forecasts in collaboration with management.
- Manage the preparation and submission of plant capital spending projects for management review and approval.
- All other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- 7 - 10 years of experience in accounting / finance as Plant Controller in a manufacturing environment (or equivalent)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting; CA, CMA, MBA a plus
- Self-starter with strong manufacturing ERP/MRP software knowledge
- Self-motivated; highly capable of completing tasks and responding to department requests independently
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to adapt in a fast-moving and changing culture
- Ability to work as part of a team and display a positive attitude for this dynamic environment
- Experience developing and analyzing complex financial models
- Team player to all
- Must have exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Must be able to handle multiple, complex tasks and deal with pressure daily
