Located in Guelph, Ontario, the University of Guelph resides within the Between the Lakes Purchase (Treaty 3); the treaty lands and territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit. Reporting to the Vice-President Research, the Associate Vice-President Research, Agri-Food Partnership (AVPR AFP) plays a key role in providing strategic management and support to the largest single research partnership at the University. The AVPR AFP oversees the successful operationalization of the Agreement between the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) and University of Guelph, and works with a diversity of public and private sector partners in the province in sustaining a prosperous agri-food sector.
