**Overview**

Sugar & Season Bakehouse is a sourdough bakery seeking to expand our offering and establishing our presence in the market as a go-to Bakery for the best sourdough bread in the Don Mills area while also offering breakfast pastries and fresh coffee. We are looking to build our team and seeking an experienced baker to join us full time. In this role, you will support the daily operations of our bakery by assisting with early morning baking and preparation of next day 's batches.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist in the preparation of our sourdough breads, and other baked goods, pastries, but also sandwiches and other foods depending on the market needs.
- Hours 6:00AM - 2:00PM Tuesday to Sat
- Assist in and also contribute to developing new recipes.
- Ensure all food handling and safety standards are met during food preparation and storage.
- Package baked goods for display and sale, ensuring presentation meets company standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and answering questions about products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and bakery area.
- Support the head baker in various tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.

**Skills**
- Experience in sourdough bread baking from starter propagation to dough fermentation process and loaf shaping and baking are preferred
- Previous experience in a restaurant or bakery setting is a plus.
- Strong skills in food preparation and cooking methods.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Experience working in a kitchen environment within the food industry.
- A passion for baking with attention to detail in all tasks.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.60-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
