About You / What We Are Looking For
We are currently looking for general interest Recreation Instructors who are passionate about sharing their expertise in the following areas:
- Languages (French and Spanish)
- Music (Guitar, Ukulele)
As a Recreation Instructor, you will be a part of a dynamic and inclusive work team, and will use your ability to share your passion with others in the community. This opportunity is a great stepping stone for those looking to pursue a career in recreation, and also allows for flexibility and work-life balance.
**Qualifications**:
Prior instructing and/or coaching experience is essential. Please note that a valid BC Drivers Licence or equivalent, High Five certification, National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP), Emergency First Aid with CPR ‘C’ certification as well as experience teaching adults and/or seniors are all considered assets. Shifts are varied throughout the year and programs run out of different facilities in the City.
What We Offer:
The City offers an hourly wage starting at $20.40 per hour depending on the type of program + 4% in lieu of benefits. In addition, you can anticipate a lively, fast-paced environment, plus opportunities for personal and professional growth.
