The City of Coquitlam is currently looking for Recreation Instructors to join the Parks, Recreation, Culture and Facilities department, who are passionate about sharing their expertise in the following areas:

- General Fitness
- Cycle
- Barre
- Yoga
- Pilates
- Zumba

**Basic Qualifications include**:

- Current Emergency First Aid and CPR ‘C’ certification;
- At least 16 years old;
- Current BCRPA Fitness Certification registered as a fitness leader in group fitness or equivalent certification / registration accepted by the City of Coquitlam and/or specialty modules;
- Pre/Post Natal Training.
- Prior instructing and/or coaching experience.

The rate of pay for this position varies, depending on experience/specialty. The range of pay is $30.00 - $45.00 per hour plus 4% in lieu of benefits. Prep-time is compensated in addition to teaching time. The City has a vaccination policy that is currently suspended. However, should the policy be reinstated, it will be a requirement for all current and future employees. Applicants under consideration may be required to undergo a police information evaluation (with no adverse reports).
