The Human Resource and Health and Safety Clerk is responsible for a variety of tasks with clear daily, weekly, monthly, deliverables. They work and report directly to the General Manager(s), providing support through administrative tasks.

Policy, Procedures, Standards:

- Work in accordance with Canadian Tire best practices in service delivery, customer values, store operations, as well as relevant health and safety legislation
- Engage in staff development initiatives to ensure standards are understood and met
- Keep current on the material contained within the Policy and Procedures Employee Manual
- Follow store health & safety program and observe provincial occupational health and safety regulations; report any observed or potential hazards immediately
- Participate in All Store Meetings as well as Sunday/Monday morning meetings as required

Major Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Month End Accounting and Reconciliation
- Monthly Health and Safety Regulatory Obligations
- New Employee Preparation and Data Entry
- Cash Balancing and Execution
- Truck Reconciliation and Review
- Claims Auditing and Corrections
- Inventory Adjustments and Reporting
- Employee Reporting and Filing
- Perform a variety of administrative and clerical jobs, as required

Major Requirements and Competencies:

- Ability to work independently and meet set targets and deadlines
- Ability to analyze reports accurately and efficiently
- Ability to demonstrate responsibility for outcomes
- Ability to understand tasks and legislative requirements
- Strong Organizational Skills
- Strong Computer/Technology Skills
- A history of working in Canadian Tire considered an asset, not required
- A history of working in clerical/administrative environment considered an asset, not required
