Position Purpose: Food and food service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the country's food supply chain. Our delivery drivers not only make sure the customers' products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition, but they are the face of our company - building lasting relationships with our customers As a Driver Helper, you will assist the Driver in every aspect of the product delivery to our customers.

Primary Responsibilities: The Driver Helper rides with and assist Drivers in the tractor trailer, tandem trailer and/or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading various products in a safe and timely manner. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: Assists the Driver in the safe and accurate delivery of products to customers in a timely and efficient manner. Loads and unloading truck and/or company vehicles. Places products in areas identified by customers. Completes required documentation in a timely manner. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent 6+ months in warehouse environment and interfacing with customers within foodservice industry Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years Pass criminal background check Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent 1+ years in warehouse environment and interfacing with customers within foodservice industry

Position Summary:
The Driver Helper/Swamper assists the Driver in unloading trailers while delivering products to our customers. This role starts early in the morning so a vehicle to get to work is a must.

Position Responsibilities:
Assists Drivers off-load products to customers.

Unloads truck and/or company vehicles by hand or by use of a hand truck or dolly.

Records deliveries information on daily delivery invoice/load list.

Listens to and resolves service complaints.

Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise when approved by Customer Service.

Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup and delivery

Uses on-board computer system and/or logbook to comply with DOT hours requirements

Cleaning inside of the vehicle.

Perform other duties as assigned

Eligibility Requirements:
You'll be primed for success with these qualifications:
Are at least 18 years of age

Have a clean driving record

Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.

The employee frequently is required to walk and stand.

The employee is required to sit and reach with hands and arms.

The employee must be willing and able to lift and push up to 75 lbs.

Ability to move a dolly up and down a ramp loaded with up to 250 lbs.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
