- We are seeking a_ **_General Labourer _**_to join our _**_Truro Operations Team_**
- Reporting into the Operations Manager/Winemaker, The General Labourer will be responsible for working with cellars and bottle shop personnel as they carry out the day-to-day duties of their respective departments. Duties may include but are not limited to assisting with the execution of cellar operations as it relates to work tickets, assisting with the bottling/production of finished goods, and assembling orders all while meeting set quality standards and working in safe efficient and courteous manner._

**_ We are looking for a teammate with:_**
- Post-Secondary education.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- HACCP training is an asset.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- 1 - 2 years' work experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.

**_ This teammate will be accountable for:_**

**_ Bottling_**
- Assists in the bottling and packaging of wine products including working at various workstations i.e.: Loading empty cases onto the production line, loading casks and shipping boxes and assembling finished goods.
- Hand-pack various sizes of bottles of wine into boxes for shipping.
- Hand-palletize cases of wine for shipping.
- Ensure all packaging loaded onto lines is free from damage.
- Loads bottles of wine onto the line for labelling or re-spinning of the capsule.
- Responsible for de-bottling non-conforming product as per SOP.
- Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
- Reports any quality concerns to the Production Manager.
- Cleans equipment and machines when required and ensures the work area is neat, clean and organized.
- Follows safe work procedures and reports all unsafe working conditions / hazards to the Operations Manager/Winemaker.
- Reports work related injuries immediately to the Operations Manager/Winemaker.

**_ Cellars_**
- Assist Cellar team in the operation and monitoring of equipment to ferment juice and unloading trucks.
- Assist Cellar team in the operation and monitoring of equipment to process, clarify and filter wine.
- Operate cellar equipment such as pumps, hoses, valves & flowmeters for wine transfers and blending.
- Make material additions to wine.
- Environmental and tank cleaning and sanitation, maintaining a neat and tidy work area at all times.
- Observe gauges, record operating parameters and support Cellar team to maintain operations within specification.
- Follow the bulk receiving guidelines in a timely and efficient manner.
- Follow ABS procedures and policies and report any deviation immediately to the Operations Manager/Winemaker.
- Record and report any upset conditions to the Operations Manager/Winemaker.
- Follows safe work procedures and practices and reports all unsafe working conditions/ hazards to the Operations Manager/Winemaker.
