Family Physician/walk-in

We are seeking a physician to join our new team located at 1087 St. Mary's Rd, Winnipeg (at Dakota). The successful applicant shall be expected to cooperate with colleagues and other health care professionals to ensure optimal patient-centered care for patients attending the clinic. This will include coordinating (as required) with clinic staff, patients, family members, caregivers, and other medical professionals to ensure seamless care and transitions between hospital and community and a full understanding of all patient care.
**Main Duties**:Examine patients
- order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures, and consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments
- Provide acute care management
- Vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases
- Advise patients and their families on health care including health promotion, disease, illness, and accident prevention
- Provide counseling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues
- Provide continuous care to patients
**Qualifications**
- Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba (CPSM)
- Canadian College of Family Physicians (CCFP) preferred
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
