**JOIN THE NORTHWOOD TEAM**

Reporting to the Supervisor, Support Services and Manager, Support Services, the ESW performs various cleaning functions to assigned areas.

**Responsibilities**:

- Cleans common area and house floors
- Assists with set ups for special functions
- Deep cleans resident rooms
- Collects and transports garbage and recycling
- Maintains cleanliness, orderliness, and general repair of equipment and work area
- Performs periodic floor, and carpet maintenance in accordance with established procedures and prescribed techniques
- Receives goods from suppliers, check and puts orders away in proper location in a timely manner and rotates inventory as new stock is received
- Follows safe work practice for chemical use including proper labeling, storage and use.
- Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other work areas so that health standards are met
- Performs other related duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
- Previous experience in Environmental Services preferred
- Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and follow through on specific instructions
- Able to lift, pull, push, and move heavy equipment and heavy furniture on a regular basis
- Able to work well with others including co-workers, supervisors, and residents.
- Able to work independently with mínimal supervision
- WHMIS training considered an asset
- Must be able to maintain regular and consistent attendance

**Hours of Work: 80 hours bi-weekly (8 hours bi-weekly) 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.**
