Dental Assistant

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice. The Dental Assistant will work closely with our dentists and hygienists to provide excellent patient care and support.
**Responsibilities**:
- Prepare treatment rooms for procedures and assist the dentist during exams and procedures, including preparing and organizing materials and equipment, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to infection control guidelines
- Take and develop dental x-rays using proper techniques and equipment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic dental records software
- Schedule and confirm appointments using a computerized scheduling system
- Handle billing and insurance paperwork, including verifying insurance coverage and completing necessary forms
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and preventive care, including demonstrating proper brushing and flossing techniques
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Dental Assistant certification required (such as CDA or RDA)
- 1-2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to work well in a team
- Basic understanding of dental terminology and procedures
- Proficiency with electronic dental records and scheduling software

Tuesday, Friday and Saturday Shifts Available

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Scarborough, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- Dental Assisting: 2 years (preferred)
