**Director, Leasing & Property Management**

We are currently seeking an experienced **_Director, Leasing & Property Management _**with a strong work ethic, the desire to be part of a team, and the skills to advance some of the most exciting land development and multifamily rental projects across Western Canada.

**Summary**

Reporting to the General Manager, the **_Director, Leasing and Property Management, _**is accountable for directing, planning and executing comprehensive property management strategies and initiatives that align with corporate goals, asset performance and industry standards.

The **_Director, Leasing and Property Management, _**is a collaborative team player, focused on the strategic objectives of the company through leadership and management of all aspects of leasing and operations within our corporate rental portfolio.

**Responsibilities**:

- Participate in the preparation, review and implementation of divisional short and long term planning activities (budgets, strategic and business plans as well as formulation).
- Interact with a wide range of audiences (i.e., government, public, other corporations) to achieve development objectives.
- Attending consultant, industry and corporate meetings and reporting discoveries to related team members
- Tracking and monitoring all required approvals to ensure timely processing and completion
- Preparing a variety of internal and external reports and presentations
- Providing leadership in all public engagement and community meetings
- Assist in preparation and delivery of investment and partnership presentations.
- Undertaking market, product, and service research and data collection, as needed
- Perform comprehensive valuation analysis and create and maintain financial models.
- Oversight of contract management related to leases and operations
- Identify value-enhancing strategies for the acquisition, disposition, appraisal, and financing of real estate properties.
- Mentor team members through training and guidance while managing their performance in accordance with Company policies, values, and business practices.
- Fully engage and work with the team leaders in achieving financial and growth goals by participating in team meetings and calls, keeping team members informed about the status of new and upcoming developments.
- Discuss strategy and provide input to the strategic decisions and direction of the Company’s leasing and rental operations, and act as a conduit to the senior management for team member, client, and key stakeholder questions, concerns, and issues related to business, education, or human resources operations.
- Assist team members in conflict and disputes that may include, but are not limited to, evictions, tenant notices, municipal dealings, police reports etc.
- Update senior management and the project team on changes in scope, status of the project and schedule changes/expectations.
- Perform other duties as required by the General Manager.

**Required Qualifications**
- Strong background leasing and property management
- YARDI Software experience is a significant asset
- Keen business acumen within the industry
- Property management experience is a significant asset
- In-depth understanding of contract management
- Very strong analytical skills, with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Impeccable attention to detail and critical thinking ability
- Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic and changing environments
