**Fleet & Equipment Coordinator**
Reporting to the Manager, Fleet Equipment and Safety, the Fleet & Equipment Coordinator is responsible for overseeing coordinating and supervising the equipment maintenance and repair programs and serves as the primary contact concerning the vehicle fleet and operations. This position will make the ultimate decision whether a vehicle is safe to have on the road.
**Health & Safety**
- Demonstrates leadership and behaviors consistent with health & safety policies through front-line engagement, training and enforcement of policies utilizing tools of awareness, and positive reinforcement.
- Ensures all incidents are reported, investigated with corrective actions complete.
**Fleet & Equipment Organization**
- Schedules, monitors, maintains, improves preventative maintenance plan and system for trucks, chassis, and cranes.
- Works with drivers/operators and staff to properly complete and submit monthly preventative maintenance, inspection, roadside repair forms.
- Works with drivers/operators to properly complete DVIR, pre/post trip inspections forms.
- Monitors and maintains detailed records of scheduled equipment servicing, roadside, accident, and inspection forms.
- Ensures strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules, reviewing repair history to make cost/benefit decisions.
- Develops and implements training modules for vehicles and equipment use and care.
- Assists drivers/operators with fleet and heavy equipment breakdowns.
- Vendor management and coordination.
**Procurement**
- Work with F&A to establish and monitor purchasing, operational and replacement strategies, and practices for most cost-effective operation.
- Ensures accuracy of inventory, and quality of parts and shop materials.
- Ensures all parts are priced and ordered according to repair requests and preventative maintenance schedule.
**Licensing**
- Tracks and ensures fleet registrations, licenses, insurance, and permits are up to date.
- Assists correspondence with MTO to ensure fleet meets current Ministry guidelines.
- Works with F&A to establish vehicle purchase specifications and purchase vehicles for all departments.
**Fuel**
- Issues fleet fuel cards and tracks, orders, and receives heavy equipment fuel deliveries.
- Monitors, tracks fuel usage and KPI by driver/operator, including excessive idling and unusual fuel usage patterns to reduce the Company’s carbon footprint.
**Systems, Processes & Administration**
- Creating and issuing purchase orders, reviewing invoice accuracy, work performed and providing updates on equipment dispatch.
- Work with management to stay current on procedural knowledge, changes in company and related safety related initiatives.
- Administrative duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
- Organized, personable and able to balance multiple tasks and prioritize daily.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced challenging environment.
- A problem-solver with the ability to deal with changing priorities and results oriented.
- Strong work ethic with high problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong computer system skills, experience with maintenance software is preferable.
- Safety conscious and versed with transportation regulations.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Self motivated.
**Full-time, Permanent**
**Salary**: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per annum
