**Job description**

**Overview**

**Duties**
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring items are secured properly for transport.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times, routes taken, and any issues encountered.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist in the maintenance of delivery vehicles, including basic automotive repairs as needed.

**Qualifications**
- Proficient in freight handling and logistics management.
- Valid Class 3 license with Air brake endorsement
- 5 years of mid-heavy (over 4,500kgs and under 11,000kgs) driving experience
- Clean driver's abstract - minimum 3 years in Alberta
- Experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts, is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of automotive repair techniques is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record-keeping.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
