SCOPE OF THE POSITION

Cost Accounting Analyst role will report directly to the Manager, Cost Accounting and be responsible to collaborate with key stakeholders from cross functional teams such as sales, supply chain, operations to consolidate and analyze costing data.

**THE MANDATE**:

- Collaborate with cross functional teams to provide high quality financial execution to preparation of customer sales price cost quoting and analysis.
- Pro-actively drive weekly and monthly purchase price variance reporting and analytics and make recommendations by identifying trends.
- Working in a hands on position, take responsibility for all aspects of executing the maintenance of standard costs in an ERP environment. Including defining policies, process and procedures.
- Provide timely supporting analysis for forecasting/budgeting inputs.

**THE CANDIDATE**:

- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in an accounting position with preference given to manufacturing environment experience and/or cost accounting experience collaborating across multiple divisions
- New and experienced graduates welcome to apply
- Must have a degree or diploma in business, management, commerce, finance and/or accounting
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office software skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook) is required
- Strong self-motivation and the ability to work both independently or with a team
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Works collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills, sets priorities and meets deadlines
