Position Summary

We are looking for a Route Accounting Analyst based out of our Brampton office and reporting into the National Route Accounting Manager. This position is responsible for the settlement activities (auditing, reconciling and analyzing financial transactions) when a route has completed their deliveries in order to complete the Direct Delivery Billing Cycle.

A day in the life of a Route Accounting Analyst

  • Reconcile Direct Delivery Trips by verifying the total sales vs. the differences between check out and check in truck stock inventory.
  • Review route activity daily to ensure invoice continuity, including timely correction of exception invoices.
  • Prepare and submit accurate financial reports related to route activities, ensuring all data aligns with corporate finance standards and timelines.
  • Review route truck stock AR accounts on a daily basis to ensure trip differences are resolved.
  • Manage relationships with Distributor, Warehouses and internal cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of unreconciled inventory differences (Shortages, damages and refusals)
  • Educate Distributor on Accounting processes, Nestle policy and procedure, and guidelines.
  • Trip document audits and management.
  • Customer Claims Portal Research and Resolution.

What will make you successful?

  • A Bachelor's degree with specialization in Finance or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a Finance Supply Chain role, considered an asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI is required, including the ability to create complex reports, perform detailed data analysis, and develop dashboards to support financial and operational decision-making.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers; both oral and written.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and set up priorities to respect tight deadlines.
  • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency.
