**About the Role**
We’re looking for an **Account Executive **who will join as a key member of the group benefits service team. The Account Executive will build and maintain a block of business through servicing, new sales, and renewals. The Account Executive (AE) will work directly with new and existing clients, providing them with guidance and expertise, ensuring effective benefit plan design and performance as well as financial stability. This individual must have an Ontario life insurance license (LLQP - Life License Qualification Program)
**What You’ll Do**
- Develop and maintain strong ongoing relationships with client and carrier contacts
- Research, analyze, and evaluate health, life, disability, and other benefit plans and act as a benefit consultant to clients.
- Responsible for managing the renewal and marketing process from start to finish. Negotiates terms, conditions, coverage limits and pricing with carriers
- Maintains a project plan to ensure client deliverables are provided on time.
- Anticipate client needs and identify the strategies to solve them.
- Oversees client projects such as flex enrolment, implementation of new business, enrollment of new products, contract amendments, etc.
- Understand and articulate alternative funding strategies with a genuine understanding of client financial mechanics and projections.
- Prepare for and participate in employee presentations, meetings, and benefit fairs
- Provide ongoing support to Plan Administrators by preparing and implementing revisions for plan design changes
- Provide clarification of administrative procedures, contractual terms and conditions, and product-specific features
- Generate revenue growth opportunities through new sales, in addition to identifying needs for additional lines of coverage, cross-selling to P&C lines and Wealth Management departments
**What You Bring**
- LLQP (Life License Qualification Program)
- CEBS is an asset
- Typically, 8+ in the group insurance industry specifically in employee benefits, including Underwriting, Sales & Service working on large complex groups
- Demonstrated experience in achieving sales targets
- Valid driver’s license
- Extensive knowledge of group benefits policy contracts and language
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including business writing skills
- Exceptional attention to detail including strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize/manage workload under pressure with tight deadlines
- Ability to work autonomously but also able to collaborate well with a team
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
