**OVERVIEW**
The Operations Field Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the commercial success of Mr. Greek restaurant outlets, as well as the development of new franchises. Overseeing the commercial development of the outlets involves maintaining the company brand or style, as well as ensuring healthy profit levels.
The Operations Field Coordinator is directly responsible for brand management and growth through a focus on operations, guest service, product quality, financial results, restaurant management, and employee development for Mr. Greek outlets. The job also demands hands-on management skills for liaising with franchise operators, managers and staff in a number of sites. The Operations Field Coordinator provides planning, direction, and leadership for all aspects of the Mr. Greek brand.
**SCOPE**
The role reports to the Senior Operations manager.
**KEY DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Evaluates restaurant operations, with a focus on food quality, guest service, sanitation, costs, etc;
- Establishing location performance targets in guest service, margin improvement, maintaining company standards in food, safety, product and facility specifications and employee satisfaction;
- Motivating and supporting franchisees in all aspects of business development and management;
- Implementing the company's business development strategies within all Mr. Greek outlets;
- Acting as a link between the head office and franchisees;
- Carry out all training programs to Mr. Greek locations;
- Standardizing systems and policies within outlets to meet the company's overall style or image;
- Communicates with franchise partners and their teams to implement marketing initiatives as well as chain-wide programs;
- Assist franchise partners with implementing local store marketing initiatives;
- Ensure that each restaurant meets or exceeds the Annual Operating Budget established for each unit;
- Perform hands-on operational work as necessary, inclusive of kitchen training, food preparation, dining room service, cleaning and sanitation, etc;
- Conduct visitations, complete reports and follow up to ensure the passing standard of 95% is being met;
- Source new suppliers when necessary;
- Monitor supplier purchases and pricing;
- Conduct quarterly reviews with every franchisee to ensure targets are being met; provide guidance and ideas to consistently improve business; Review sales figures and cost of goods, comparing to budget, discuss issues with unit managers; Set financial benchmarks and follow up to ensure financial goals are met;
- Conduct quarterly financial audits with franchise partners to review Profit & Loss Statements
- Spearheading the opening of new restaurants;
- Ensure full compliance throughout system;
- Responds to guest complaints follow up to ensure corrective action is taken;
- Ensure a warm ambience is established throughout all Mr. Greek locations**;**:
- Embodies, promotes and teaches the company core values, as well as the motto, “Because life has to be enjoyed”;
- Report management or performance issues to the Senior Operations Manager;
- Participates in the creation of certain company manuals as required, such as the Operations Manual, ingredient files or plated meals manuals;
- Provide weekly schedule of operational visits to Senior Operations Manager
- Keep restaurant files for each location, and update accordingly; These files are currently maintained on the company computer server, as well as hard copies which are kept in storage at the Head Office;
- Follow company policies and procedures, maintain a professional businesslike attitude;
**Food Quality** - Monitor food quality standards during mandatory store visits. Conduct line-checks with managers. Conduct quality control Inspection to ensure adherence to recipes, food specs, food handling standards and proper sanitation procedures.
**Unit Cleanliness** - Assure FOH / BOH cleaning lists and schedules are in use and being followed. Conduct a thorough walk-through in every unit on every visit to assure compliance. Ensure proper sanitation procedures are in use. Record your observations and communicate action plans to Senior Operations Manager. Follow up with franchise operators to implement corrective action as required.
**Repairs and Maintenance** - Inform franchise operators of any issues observed during store visits. Follow-up to ensure repair and maintenance work is properly completed.
**Training and Development** - Assure franchise operator training is ongoing and proper programs are being followed. Investigate by looking at recently hired employees’ files and talking with staff. Look for proper tests, certification documents. Management development is achieved through observation shifts with individual managers, ensuring that standards are being met. Assess the manager’s strengths and areas of opportunity through frequent oral and written feedback. Communicate any training and development needs to Senior Operations Manager.
