**Dog Daycare & Boarding Attendant**

We are an indoor/outdoor dog daycare, boarding, and training facility. We are looking for a part time Dog Daycare & Boarding Attendant to join our team at Doggie Basics.

**Must have access to a vehicle as our location does not have public transportation access.**

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Supervise dogs in daycare and boarding
- Monitor and ensure safety of all dogs during play, socialization, and exercise
- Feed dogs
- Pick up fecal waste after dogs and clean up pee
- Light lifting (bags of food, equipment, garbage, etc.)
- Opening and closing duties
- Maintain a clean facility - vacuum, clean, and mop

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- High school Graduate or equivalent
- Be able to legally work in Canada (SIN or work permits must be provided)
- Positive attitude, reliable, punctual, with good communication skills
- Great time management, assertive, quick and calm to react under stress
- Great customer service and people skills
- knowledgeable in canine behavior and able to recognize body language (not required but preferred)
- Experienced and comfortable in handling dogs of different size, breeds, and temperaments
- Pet First Aid (not required but preferred)
- Flexible working hours (days, evenings, shift work, weekends)
- Previous hands-on experience with dogs (not required but preferred)
- Able to work in a team environment and individually (self motivated)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
