The Shift Lead is responsible for overseeing the activities during their shift, ensuring a safe and fun environment for all dogs, and providing excellent customer service to our clients.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead a team of dog daycare attendants, ensuring all duties are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Oversee the safety, health, and well-being of all dogs in our care, including supervising playgroups and conducting behavior assessments.
- Ensure that the daycare environment is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
- Serve as the point of contact for staff, clients, and management during your shift, addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
- Train new team members on proper dog handling, daycare protocols, and cleaning procedures.
- Monitor the interactions of dogs to prevent and manage any behavioral issues or conflicts.
- Administer medications as needed and ensure accurate record-keeping of dog care logs.
- Communicate with pet owners, providing updates on their dog's behavior and experiences during daycare.
- Assist with scheduling, reporting, and inventory management when necessary.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Previous experience in a dog daycare, boarding facility, or related field is preferred
- Knowledge of dog behavior, body language, and group play dynamics.
- Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and breeds in a safe, compassionate manner.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
- Basic computer skills for logging information and communicating with management.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for long periods and be active throughout the shift.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. when necessary.
